Our Team

Allyson Hogan
Principal Solicitor

As an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, Allyson is an expert at solving legal problems. Big ones, small ones, expensive ones, sensitive ones or just plain annoying ones, she’s definitely got your back.

Allyson has acted as plaintiff and defence lawyer in all the Important Places. This experience leaves Allyson well-placed to advise you when to hold ‘em, when to fold ‘em, when to walk away, and when to run very very very fast.

Allyson is responsive and adaptable to the needs of her clients and you will never meet a more loyal, passionate advocate for a good cause.

In between rounds at Court, Allyson enjoys applying her litigator’s logic and knowledge to commercial negotiations and the drafting of robust transactional documents. Prevention is better than the cure, and it absolutely is possible to Get Deals Done with minimal legal risk.

Elena Arifin
Associate Lawyer

Elena loves helping people. Whether you are buying, selling, entering into a business deal, planning ahead to provide for your family or dealing with the loss of a loved one, Elena will calmly and confidently walk you through the legal nitty gritty.

Elena understands that the law can be daunting, but with her sunny disposition, clear communication and common sense approach she will make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Elena has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies (fun fact: she learnt Mandarin Chinese at uni! Just don’t test her on it too closely as she’s a little rusty …)

Having previously practised as a lawyer in a boutique firm in Sydney, Elena recently made the move to the nation’s capital with her young family. She is thoroughly enjoying the lack of traffic and is finding the weather so inviting that she regrets not making the move years ago. Elena simply cannot get enough of Canberra’s wide outdoors … you may just bump into her hiking a mountain, complete with toddler in tow!

Kylee Batchelor

Kylee is approachable and loves to meet new people. She has almost finished an Associate Degree in Law with a Conveyancing major and has been accepted to study a Bachelor of Laws.

Before journeying to “the dark side,” Kylee wanted to be a journalist. She attained a Certificate IV in Communication and Media and remains interested in advertising and writing.

Kylee loves being creative, is a grammar nerd and wishes crochet was an extreme sport so she’d sound more interesting.

While Kylee describes herself as dedicated, persistent and sensible, at Namadgi Legal we prefer to think of her as kind, funny and vivacious. She is always happy to have a chat. Not much stresses her out and she is totally chill with chaos, probably because she has four small children who have taught her the art of patience.

Social Responsibility

At Namadgi Legal we accept responsibility for the economic, social and environmental impacts of our business. Not only is this morally correct, to us it makes good business sense.

We minimise our paper waste, use technology to improve efficiency, recycle and purchase recycled products.

We publish our insights, with a sweet dash of humour and to keep you informed, in the Namadgi Legal blog ‘LwyrUp’

Canberra is Ngunnawal Country

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the Australian Capital Territory and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We celebrate the living culture and connection of the Ngunnawal people to this land, on which they have performed ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal for many centuries.

We wholeheartedly support reconciliation and look forward to genuine and meaningful recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Australians.
